Monte Tondo Valpolicella Superiore undergoes a meticulous process. After pressing and a 6-day skin maceration, Amarone skins are introduced for a second fermentation lasting 8-12 days at 20-25°C. This imparts body, color, and alcohol, enhancing the wine. The wine ages in barrels for 18 months. An 8-month bottle maturation follows after bottling.
This wine is deep ruby red. A powerful nose of fruity aromas, spices, and hints of vanilla. Well-balanced with a light, smooth, and slightly tannic finish.
